We cannot give what we do not have, and can we cannot receive when we do not empty. Here are easy self care practices to enrich your relationship with yourself and others. 1. Connect with Nature. Feel the earth underneath your feet, wonder at the vastness of an open sky, receive the gift of each breath. You do not have to live in the forest to experience the natural world. Tend to a garden, sit under a tree, care for a plant, gaze at the moon or the stars. 2. Start and end the day with gratitude. It is easy to get caught in the mindset of doing and needing. Offering gratitude resets and opens the mind to the unending abundance of life. From this sense of abundance comes a sense of calm and equanimity. 3. Spend a few moments everyday in quiet and place a hand over your heart, just bringing your attention to the fact that you are breathing.
